Where can I get ear wax removal in the evening or on a Sunday?

Altrincham Ear Wax Removal at Timperley Late Night Pharmacy is open Monday to Saturday 9am–9pm and Sunday 9am–6pm. Late-night and weekend microsuction appointments are available — useful when you can't take time off during the day.

Finding ear wax removal outside office hours is harder than it should be. As of August 2026, most local audiology and ear-care clinics run Monday-to-Friday daytime hours, with a Saturday-morning session at best. If your ear blocks up on a Friday evening, or you simply can't get away from work during the day, that can leave you waiting days for an appointment. Because our service sits inside Timperley Late Night Pharmacy, we keep pharmacy hours instead: microsuction is available until 9pm Monday to Saturday and from 9am to 6pm on Sunday.

Our opening hours

DayHours
Monday – Saturday9:00am – 9:00pm
Sunday9:00am – 6:00pm

That adds up to over 80 hours a week when an appointment is possible, and same-day appointments are often available too. No GP referral is needed: you can book directly through our contact page or by calling 0161 948 5066.

Evening appointments after work

Most people who book our late slots are simply fitting the appointment around a working day: they finish at 5 or 6, drive over, and are seen the same evening. The pharmacy is at 250 Stockport Road, Timperley, Altrincham WA15 7UN, with free parking directly outside, so an after-work visit doesn't turn into an expedition. Microsuction is a gentle, widely used method when performed by a trained clinician, and it is usually well tolerated.

Evening slots also work well for families. Children can typically be seen from around age 5 (always subject to the pharmacist's assessment on the day), so an after-school appointment is often the easiest option for parents who can't get out during school hours.

Sunday ear wax removal

Ears have a habit of blocking at the weekend: after a swim, a flight home, or a week of trying cotton buds that only pushed the wax deeper. On Sundays we're open 9am to 6pm, so you don't have to start the working week with a muffled ear. The service is pharmacist-delivered, led by our Superintendent Pharmacist Muhammad Usman Shafique (GPhC 2067844).

One honest note: we are a wax-removal service, not an audiology clinic. We don't offer hearing tests, hearing aids or ear irrigation. If wax is the problem, though, wax-related symptoms such as muffled hearing or a feeling of fullness often improve once the wax is removed. Most blockages are cleared in one visit, with the occasional ear needing a second visit or a few more days of softening drops first.

Who books an evening or Sunday slot

Do you charge more in the evening or on Sunday?

No. Our prices are flat: £50 for one ear and £70 for both ears, whatever the day or time. An 8pm Tuesday appointment costs exactly the same as a Tuesday-morning one, and a Sunday visit costs no more than midweek. There is no evening or weekend surcharge and there are no hidden fees. If the clinician examines your ears and finds no significant wax, they will discuss it with you before proceeding. Full details are on our prices page.

Tip — soften the wax before you come

If you can, use olive oil drops (or Earol spray) for 3–5 days before your appointment, as softened wax usually comes out more easily. It isn't strictly required: if your appointment is tonight and you haven't used drops, we can usually still help on the day; removal may just take a little longer.
